Before moving to WA and taking-up racing, Curtis and Mitchell rode socially as members of a family-oriented club back East. Curtis had progressed from a PeeWee 50, via a CRF 50 to a 90cc Thumpster. Mitchell started on the same PeeWee, went via a Suzuki JR 50 and made it as far as the CRF. These bikes obviously weren't suited to racing, so they quickly made way for the bikes they now ride. The third Bacon brother, Gareth, is chomping at the bit to get started and is expected to make his debut in 2010, at the ripe old age of 4.
