The progression from 65cc to 85cc is perhaps one of the most significant in junior MX. The bike is physically much larger and heavier, and is capable of delivering significantly more power. The RM 85 was purchased locally, from a member of the Wanneroo Junior MX club. Whilst being well-ridden throughout its life, the bike has been well-maintained by its original owner and still has plenty of racing left in it. In addition to wanting to stay in the Suzuki fold where possible, the Suzuki was chosen over the faster and more popular Yamaha YZ due to the engine's low-RPM pulling characteristics, made possible by the addition of a powervalve which is lacking on the YZ.
